As recorded by Paquito D’Rivera and New York Voices (“Brazilian Dreams” – 2003, MCG Jazz), this arrangement is for SATB and rhythm section, but has been expanded to include full big band accompaniment. The music was written by Paquito D’Rivera and Claudio Roditi, with lyrics by Cecilia Engelhart. This is a reasonably challenging arrangement, which features a short female solo, and plenty of soloing space for both vocalists & instrumentalists alike. This makes a great closer for an advanced group.
