New York Voices featured this arrangement of the Laura Nyro classic on their “A Day Like This” CD (2007, MCG Jazz), and it has been a staple in their live concerts for many years. Compared to many other NYV a cappella arrangements, this one is a bit more accessible. The harmony is a bit more pop based, and there are less rootless chords than in some of the more complicated NYV a cappella charts. With that said, this is still a good workout, especially for the basses! This is a great chart for a solid high school or college ensemble. Edition Ferrimontana is based in Germany, but is set up to take international orders.
