As recorded by New York Voices (“Sing! Sing! Sing” – 2001, Concord Records), this arrangement is for SATB and big band. The arrangement also works with just rhythm section accompaniment. This is a very challenging arrangement, incorporating a mixture of blues and jazz elements. The melodic and rhythmic structure is based in blues vocabulary, while the harmony incorporates many dominant 13 and altered chords. This makes a great closer for an advanced group.
