As recorded by New York Voices in 2019 (“Reminiscing in Tempo” – 2019, Origin/Five Cent Records). Arranged back in the 1950’s by “the other” Ray Charles for Perry Como, Ella Fitzgerald and Caterina Valente, NYV adapted and expanded the original version and added it to our book a number of years ago. This chart bounces along at a brisk tempo, and has a lot of “In the Mood” style backgrounds that give the group a nice workout. However, the chord progression is pretty simple, so it’s not super hard to get the harmony sorted out. The vocal parts include a mix of close voicings and independent lines. There is a nice baritone lead, and plenty of 4-way close tight harmony as it builds to the end.

The initial $75 purchase is for the downloadable PDF, which includes the SATB octavo, Piano, Guitar, Bass and Drum parts, as well as a full score. The rhythm section parts are not fully notated, but are well-marked with a combination of notes, chord changes and rhythmic notation.

BIG BAND OPTION (add-on item): The optional big band accompaniment includes all horn parts (5/4/4), rhythm section parts (piano, guitar, bass & drums) and full score.
