As recorded by New York Voices (“Sing! Sing! Sing” – 2001, Concord Records), this medium tempo swinger works well with rhythm section accompaniment, but really comes to life with the additional six horn or full big band orchestration. The SATB voicings are mostly in a traditional 4-way close style, and the horn arrangement is reminiscent of Marty Paich. The chart contains a reasonable amount of hip voicings, and laid back swing lines, and is approachable by most medium to advanced level ensembles.
